The world’s second richest man has committed to spend $50 million on the fight against Ebola in West Africa

Billionaire, Bill Gates, through the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, is set to spend $50 million on the fight against Ebola.
This was announced yesterday, September 10, 2014, by the organization’s President of Global Development, Chris Elias.
The money will reportedly be used, along with an earlier set-aside sum of $10 million, to support emergency response to the Ebola outbreak in West Africa.
Elias said:
"It became clear to us over the last 7 to 10 days that the pace and scope of the epidemic was increasing significantly,"
The foundation has said that the donated funds will go to the United Nations, the World Health Organization (WHO), the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and international organizations involved in fighting transmission of the virus.
Ebola has claimed over 2000 lives this year in an outbreak that has been described by the WHO as the worst ever.
Judge Masipa is currently reading files after files as she reviews evidences and testimonies before verdict.

As we countdown to the final hour before Oscar Pistorius' final verdict is pronounced in a court in Pretoria, South Africa today, Sept. 11, many question if he could walk free or be sent behind bars.
Judge Masipa is currently reading files after files as she reviews evidences and testimonies before verdict.
The Judge began with reading the charges of the victim which included illegal ownership and use of a fire arm/weapon, voluntary and/or involuntary murder as well as testimonies from witnesses.
The judge aslo dished out the common case facts for the murder charge. These are facts which aren't disputed. They include: Sprinter shoots Reeva Steenkamp three times, Using a criket bat to broke the door, emotional after shooting his girlfriend on Valentine's Day 2013.
The jusge also looked into the issues of the case which she says are irrelevant during the last hours in court.
Oscar Pistorius has been charged with four counts of murder and involuntary man slaughter. It remains unclear if Judge Masipa will dish out the murder verdict first.
But will all these send Oscar to jail?
Story still developing...
The “Ginger Master” was a guest on ChannelsTV’sRubbin MindsSunday and he admitted to using
drugs.

It probably comes as no surprise that his usual ‘hyperactive’ behaviour is as a result of being
under the influence but the singer has revealed he no longer uses drugs, “I still do marijuana”.
He told the show’s host that the Nigerian music industry is plagued with drug use and abuse and he
was a victim.

“There is plenty drug problem in the industry,” he
said while also admitting that “I am clean but I still
do marijuana.”

Wondering how he got himself caught up with being dependent on the use of drugs? The “Free Madness” hit-maker explained that it wasn’t completely his fault (as many may think) but blamed a mystery Nollywood actress for his mishap.

He said, “I was introduced to drugs by a popular actress.”

What's the difference?
Peter Okoye has described his twin brother, Paul as a lazy chap. Peter made this known while the P-Square duo were guests at the Beat 99.9FM for their 5th anniversary celebration. He attributed Paul's laziness to the reason why he does not do a lot of dancing in the group.
"It's not that Paul cannot dance, he's just lazy. The other day, we booked a 7-hour photo session and by the first hour, Paul was already tired" he expalined.
"It's true" Paul concured.
"I don't like all the gra gra dance, I'm always afraid that I'll break my bones" he said amidst general laughter. "I prefer the cool moves like that 'Do Me' dance"
Meanwhile the duo are set to drop their hotly anticipated 6th studio album, 'Double Trouble' come Friday, September 12th.
Precious oil was discovered in Borno in the Lake Chad basin in 2012. After oil was discovered in the basins in neighboring Chad and Niger, the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC commenced serious prospecting in the Chad, Anambra and other basins with high expectancy of discovering oil. True to the projection, in 2012 oil was found in the Borno Lake Chad basin.
But as is the curse of all regions in the third world where oil is found, perhaps not by pure coincidence, a new Boko Haram II terror group reappeared in Borno and was powerfully sponsored to take over from where the defunct Yusufiyyah initial Boko Haram I group that was destroyed by late Umaru Yar’Adua, used to function. This new Boko Haram II was more brutal and determined to kill or expel all indigenes from the oil endowed northern state.
Is Boko Haram interested in the oil wealth buried under the Bornu soil? Is Boko Haram a purposeful tool to inhibit and frustrate the plans to begin exploration of commercial oil from Borno? The plan to explore was set for this 2014, but obviously with Boko Haram in control of the land under which this northern oil find was made, there will be no exploration and harvesting of oil any time soon.
Nigeria’s government forms panels to analyze every minor situation, panels to review the analysis and then panels to discus implementation of the results and then other panels to implement the results… it is rather puzzling that there are no special panels to seriously and holistically review the real pathogenesis of Boko Haram II, the context of the formation of this terror group at the beginning of the Goodluck administration, precisely on October 1st, 2010 (MEND Abuja bombing date), to study its support and to thoroughly analyze the reasons for the complete failure of all approaches the Goodluck administration has currently utilized toward controlling it.
The Association of Petroleum Inland Basins States of Northern Nigeria (APIBONN) has been fighting to fast-track the exploration of oil and gas in basins in the north of the nation; however the terror situation conveniently prevents any serious efforts at exploration. Several Basins mostly north of the Niger river, some with oil finds but most yet to be fully explored according to APIBONN are the Northern Anambra and Southern Bida Basins in Kwara and Kogi States, Niger (Central Bida and Southern Sokoto Basins), Benue, Nasarawa, Plateau and Taraba (Middle Benue Trough), Bauchi,  Gombe, Adamawa and Yobe (Upper Benue Trough and part of Chad Basin), Borno (Chad Basin) while Kebbi, Sokoto and Zamfara (Sokoto Basin – oil found).
It is time to ask many, many questions. Is someone stopping exploration? Does someone wish to annex Borno? Does someone wish to care out oil-rich Borno as his new nation? There is no question that the find of oil reserves in 2012 potentially puts the entire conflict in the north in a different light. Blood oil?

I knew this already! Nigerian movie producers seem to take advantage of every situation in the country to make a movie out of it and now, they have started making movies on the dreaded Ebola Virus disease.
It was just a matter of time before heartless Nigerian movie producers who, for the lack of depth, take advantage of every situation to come out with some run of the mills movie. And just like we predicted, they have latched onto the outbreak of the Ebola Virus Disease in the country to come out with a movie on it.
Just like they did with the unfortunate killing of four students of the University of Port Harcourt by the Aluu Community and the kidnapping of female students of the Government Secondary School, Chibok, Borno State, by the BokoHaram sect, a movie production outfit, Times Gate Production International, has come out with a movie entitled Ebola, apparently on the dreaded EVD.
Is this a case what is called in local parlance, 'Naija no dey carry last?
